I've heard of "Reading" before, is it in Pennsylvania? What does the meet entail? Is there a reason you have to RSVP with the hotel? People can't just show up? It's an IHG hotel, it sounds like... Can I use my rewards points to stay there or???

Although not a founding member, within this forum I ago back a long way and am fully aware that Reading as an event, has formed a core part in the activities holding the place together. Therefore I have read through this thread as a matter of genuine interest and it is clear that a single member is now flying the Reading flag alone.
What surprises me is that John has not received a vote of thanks or even an appreciative comment, even though the work he has done and doggedly continues to do, must be apparent to all. I do not have a hope in hell of attending much as I would like to, but can say, thank you John, you deserve much more support than is currently on hand. Sincerely, Trevor.

Yeah it definitely seems like the forum is a much less active place than it was 10-15 years back, but I guess the cars have gotten older and harder to find, and even the ones that are low in miles and in good shape are starting to need parts that Subaru doesn't make or sell anymore, and are not available in the aftermarket.
On the plus side, I get lots of "oh man, is that an SVX. I haven't seen one of those around here in such a long time". I don't think there are too many left in the area.
