Re: Exhaust Tips.. Suggestions?
Thanks, everyone for your suggestions. I ended up going with the Magnaflow tips, p/n 35168 that svxcess recommended.
These ones: ![]() They ended up being the ones I thought looked the best AND they ended up being the cheapest, believe it or not. Got them from Performance Peddler at $113.90 for both plus free shipping..

Re: Exhaust Tips.. Suggestions?
customizing is nice... but am I the only one who actually 'likes' the stock tips? I think they are very dated japanese looking... Goes well w/ the car, knowing its age.
Other then that... I like the ones mike posted. w/ the smaller magnaflow ones after that... Alot of people used to like the stebro tips. I never liked them b/c there jsut wasnt enough metal to them.

I like the way the oval shape of the tip itself and the "insert match each other... and also match the shape of the rear reflectors in the tail lights and the side reflectors in the rear lights as well. .

Re: Exhaust Tips.. Suggestions?
I like oval and ovoid (rounded rectangle) tips.
The SVX seems like it could use something a bit more substantial than the somewhat squished, and constricted look looking OE tips. The thick double-wall of the stock tips makes them look a bit closed-up. But I would keep the general theme with these. ![]() I like the way those look on this car. (2007 Parnelli Jones Boss 302 Saleen. it is the same tip style.) ![]() Here is a larger size that is not quite as wide, but taller than stock, with the same baffled inner wall, like stock. ![]() http://www.prostreetonline.com/s/fab...ffler-tips.asp I've always liked the Magnaflow version, as well: ![]() For something a bit different, and to somewhat echo the tail lights I have thought of two pair of ovoid tips... that could be cool. ![]() I could even see using those mufflers, swapped side for side, with the over-axle pipe-work cut-off, and re-directed for an SVX dual-exhaust system. Mufflers end to end inboard, tips and inlets outboard. Otherwise, there is the Porsche Cayenne system... which looks do-able, too... ![]() ![]() StainlessWorks has many different slash-cut oval tips, otherwise, also... http://www.stainlessworks.net/cart/i...p?cPath=23_168

Re: Exhaust Tips.. Suggestions?
I had the single Magnaflow exhaust done on my SVX last month.
The tips I used were from SVX Central,(Motorsports Warehouse). I used "Style V". They are stainless oval, a little bigger than stock and very well made. And at 110bucks for the pair, not too spendy. Plus, it looks like the car came with them. |

Re: Exhaust Tips.. Suggestions?
I am personally going for something like this:
P.S. on a more serious note, I really like the Saleen tips BoxerFanatic suggested. Keeps the style and the sophistication of the SVX intact. Good find! Last edited by Sov13t; 05-10-2010 at 10:32 AM. |
