I can hardly wait to feel the braking power
Congratulations!!! It looks like a nice car.

A canadian car's sold in Canada has less paper work and procedures than coming to US.

Post some pictures would you?

Re: 1996 LSI Movit Brakes, Stebro, etc

svxstarship and I spent the day together yesterday. This is a great car, with some really nice mods done to it. Love the brakes, the stebro is the best exhaust for the SVX and the custom stainless steel Headers are awesome. svxstarship was great as well helping me get everything done yesterday. We first had to drive 60 km to my son's work so he could "certify" it and do the etest.(my son was great, 10 minutes to certify and 5 to etest) This gave me a chance to go to the bank and get the money. Then off to the Ministry of Transport to get the ownership changed and new plates and sticker. Then back to svxstarship's house to get my rental, he drove the SVX and I the rental. Then he had one last drive in the SVX to his office and I finally had it all to myself. I first got to his house at around 11:30 and dropped him off at his office at 5:30 so it took 6 1/2 hours of his time.
I'm going back next week to pick up the extra parts he has, just got to get a truck to bring them home with.
I just have to clean it up a bit and I'll post some pictures. Still I'm missing my 92 perlie, but it will resurface in the spring as a 5-speed. Thanks again svxstarship for going the extra mile

No. Custom stainless (2.25') from the headers to the Stebro. Pretty sure the diameter was 2.25'.

Re: 1996 LSI Movit Brakes, Stebro, etc

I'll get it detailed and take some pictures, plus I'll get my son to put it up on the hoist and take some pictures of the exhaust so all can see, he was real impressed with it...hopefully by Saturday afternoon.
I'm really enjoying this car...svxstarship, I can see your still missing your ex baby a little bit. Feel free to drop by my office anytime to visit, it's only 10 minutes from your house or office I've got to get the windows tinted a nice dark black would look good on it.

Don't worry, you'll be missing it for a while. I sold my '92 a couple years ago now, and I still miss it, though I'm very glad it, too, went to a good home. Will get another... one day.

I have a feeling the SVX would have complemented my current car better than the A8 I used to own, but they did make an interesting couple.

Re: 1996 LSI Movit Brakes, Stebro, etc

Hey SvXit,

I nearly bought a 03 S8 out of Tulsa recently but the condition left a bit to be desired so I backed out. Looking at D3's now. Seems like we have the same great taste in cars.

Ah yeah, I remember the name! Check with BruceM as he usually buys/sells some very nice D2 S8s. My only concern with D3s are they're hard to wrench on as it's much more computerized.

Yeah, I still cruise here and AutoTrader and eBay checking on SVXs, but am probably a year or more out as far as being able to get another one. And funny enough, I see SVXs on the road about as often as I see other S8s, which is something I always loved about the SVX.
