They are decent in snow 4-6". However, it does not snow much here as it used too! I did make it over Vail pass in a blizzard with no problems! Handled extremely well! Although I never experienced other tires on my car other than the AVS dB’s, I'm willing to bet you can find someone in here that made this switch from other brands to the Yoko Avs. Anyone?

So you like these tires?
It certainly is a deal at $90. I was considering Hakkapaelitas. Quote:

Hello All!
I now have my Firestone Firehawks mounted ( I started this thread, after all), and they are great! Run quieter than the old Bridgestones, throw water out the side just as advertised, cornering grip is excellent, and so far - so good. Yoko fans will still argue their case, but these tires have lived up to the reviews so far. The cornering grip exceeds my expectaions, because the tread wear factor of 320 would indicate a harder compound. I'll report back after 10K miles or so. |

I actually had these tires on my last SVX (95) and they were amazing. They bite like crazy and do not let go.
I paid over $1000 for them a few years ago. It looks like you got a great deal on them. Have fun. |
