Of course most of OUR wildlife has four hoofs, a white tail, and can seriously mess up you AND your car!

We save turtles too, which can be rather risky with all our twists and turns.

After saving Box-o-turtle Ron, you can thank yourself with a box-o-wine!

I typically swerve for wildlife, but not until I make the determination that I'm not putting myself in danger first. That's a hard lesson to learn, and you don't always get a lot of practice at it.

A good friend of mine ended up stuck in a field because she swerved off the road for a turtle. If she had hit anything (tree, the nearby pole) she might not be alive now. I love animals (especially on sandwiches), but if it's a choice between me and a turtle, there's no contest.
