i was obsessed with population growth paterns and when not tracking my favourite songs on the top 40 chart, i'd project out populations of u.s. cities.

when the populations grew too high, i'd project when the soviets would nuke us and kill most of us off and then slowly regrow the cities. i'd project these populations out for hundreds of years.

i was os obsessed with nuclear devastation that i used to scare the crap out of my two younger step-sisters explaining to them how they'd die depending on how close they were to ground zero.

So the question of the day.... How do your projections compare to reality 20 years later??

then in about 1990, i discovered booze and boys and i never looked back.

well...i still love my music, and now there's my obsessions with cars (and no, not just hyundais, alan!) and beer. i don't worry much about the russians killing us all or even the iranians and north koreans. i just worry and stress about my job.

oh. LMAO! i don't think i still have them, but i projected pouplation growth in the western u.s. to stay at the levels they were growing from the 70s to mid 80s. i projected the decline in poulation in the northeast to taper off and shart showing some slight growth. i think i totally missed the boat on growth in the south, though. also, i projected major growth in denver and other colorado cities, just to see how long it would take denver to be the most populous city in the nation. i also never let the soviets nuke my home town.

i almost forgot to mention my wardrobe consisted almost entirely of izod knits shirts with the collars turned up, which i had in almost every colour and i wore highwater jeans with sperry topsiders or checkerboard vans and no socks. in the summer, the jeans were replaced by OP corduroy shorts. in the fall and spring, the izod shirts were covered by one of about 4 different colours of members only chintz jackets.
