Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Finished the 4.44 swap
Found fuel leak while the car was on the hoist got that fixed
Went for a sunset drive see attached pic
Dropped my phone and broke the screen

I recommend the 4.44 swap

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

My SVX finally left me stranded for the time last night.
SVX died at the gas pump after filling it up, wouldn't start...
Had to push the car off to the side the lot.

Put in new battery from walmart, SVX is back on the road.

Napa battery that was in it was from october of 07, guess it was due.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

installed the power window master switch I got from subaruparts.com, I ordered the 92 one so now have auto up and down and do not have to be VERY careful with the damaged switch I took out it was only $115.00 plus shipping much better than the local dealer price of $249.00

Holy cow, 51!? I've always kind of liked the Baja, good buy!

Unrelated: looking at your signature, you say you have Magnaflow. Care to share your setup and specifics about the sound (any droning, livable for long trips, etc...)? I'd like to get a little bit of tone out of mine but want to avoid any kind of association with being "rice-y".

Did you do the Camaro/Firebird muffler alone?

I pulled it off a wrecked one I got for parts, several years ago, if I think of it I'll get some pics of it....

Scheduled the SVX for it's first engine tear down.

The restoration begins.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Installed the "quick change" module,(nice mod thanks Harvey) now with the 4.44 and quick change I'm wondering why Subaru didn't make them this way it just feels better than stock.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Did a road trip from Hamilton to Tauranga to Auckland.
About 6 hours driving.
Bumped into the last owner of my daily driver, so we reminisced together about the cost of running these cars (he now drives a 20 yr old Toyota Corona).

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

I just finished pressing in new rear wheel bearings. Now I need to reinstall the whole assembly back on the car. Not hard but time consuming.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Designed and fabbed some 3/8" aluminum saggy-butt spacers for my SVX. Installed new strut mounts while I was at it, since one of the studs broke on the old ones. It turned out really nice, and evened out the ride height a bit. The car is on Motorsport SVX springs and newish OEM struts.

The lighting in the photo makes the car look like it has a massive rake, but it's very level. Before, it looked like it was in perma-launch mode.
