I have a buddy that lives in Greenville...he has a SVX also (I think it is currently off the road) he could probably help you out finding a good Mech. for your SVX...his name is Paul, and is a member here, under "Crazyhorse" I believe...

Tail had road construction on it last week, it was down to 1 lane.
They had a portable traffic light up! That was something I was not expecting to see on the tail.

I sent crazyhorse a PM, asked him who does is service, but his "Last Activity: 02-09-2013".

Retired my 2002 WRX to garage queen status after 170,000 wicked fun miles.

Bought a new daily driver. A 1994 Subaru Legacy GT. Only made for one year

SVX is still hiding in the garage. Needs a front wheel bearing. I'm in no hurry.

??? The auto-wrecker told me that the transmission they sold me for my 4.44 swap was from a 1997 Legacy GT, would like to see pictures.

Sorry about that.. I should have been more clear. 1994 was the only year for the first generation Legacy GT (89-94 bodystyle.) The 94 GT was the first Legacy to have a stepped roof, (which later was used on the Outbacks). Subaru went on to make the GT from 96 on, if I recall correctly.

I'll snap a few pictures once I get the car cleaned up. It is so cool looking.

So this will be my new daily driver and the fourth Subaru currently in the driveway.

The previous owner was a young guy, who installed adjustable coilovers, 17" wheels, WRX front seats, some big titanium shift knob, and a quick release Momo steering wheel.

I currently have the seats out, and I'm doing my best to restore the original carpet. I've ordered a few interior trim pieces that were missing. I swapped out the heavy knob for an old school plastic JDM Cusco WRC knob.

I'll be swapping out the coil overs for something a little less aggressive. I have a set of Prodrive springs with KYB struts that I may try out. I don't want the car too low. It's crazy low right now. lol

I've ordered front fenders, and will have my body shop install and paint them, as well as taking care of the bubbling rear quarter panels. I'm not going too crazy with the body, as this a driver, and I think the dents and faded bumpers add character.

The wheels are definitely going away. I'm currently looking for something smaller, (15 or 16"), and something more period-correct. I'm thinking a set of V1 STI 15's in gold, or something along the lines of a Speedline Safari or some old Compomotive 5's.

Finally got the 99' outback installed with a phase 2 4.11 trans. It actually has power from a dead stop now!!!

Also blew the SS brake line on the LR in the SVX.

Drove the SVX 150 Miles with the sunroof open The cracked flex plate made it, now for the 4.44 swap tomorrow.
