Kev,
I'll keep my fingers, toes, legs, arms, and whatever crossable body parts I have, crossed for your good fortune. Now, if I can only keep the "meet monster" away from my car for a while.

Provided that nothing major happens to tranny (or anything else for that matter) I may actually be able to buy tires so i can actually put the rims back on it. Since i spent so much and haven't been able to use them in nearly a year and a half.

Yes. John has a block of rooms reserved through some time in March. We can start reserving any time, just mention the "SVX Group."

READING III HOTEL INFO UPDATE

READING III: HOTEL INFO
The contract for 17 rooms for the Reading meet is signed and in possession of the Morgantown Holiday Inn. The rooms have been reserved under the "SVX CLUB" for Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6, 2002. As with last year, all rooms are grouped together in the same area.

Morgantown Holiday Inn
Exit 22 PA Turnpike
6170 Morgantown Rd., Rt. 10
MORGANTOWN, PA 19543
Toll-Free (800) 339-0264
Fax: 1-610-2861920

The room rate is guaranteed at a flat rate of 75.95 per room per night, plus the 11% hotel tax. Each room has 2 queen beds and she doesn't care how many are in each room. The block is currently reserved on my credit card. The rooms will be reserved under the SVX CLUB THROUGH WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6, 2001. All reservations should be made directly with the Hotel, with reference to the SVX CLUB.Toll-Free (800) 339-0264

Any of the rooms in this block not reserved by March 6th will be released.(If you happen to make reservations after this date they will probably honor the club rate IF rooms are still available, but this is not guaranteed.

Lets get those reservations filled! If we need more rooms than the 17 already blocked, the earlier we can do this the better.

I tried to book my room, but they don't have the contract in the computer yet. They will have it in the 'puter tomorrow.

But at least they have the contract! that's 90% of the battle.

Thanks John! for your work in getting the hotel arranged.

Hi All,

As most of you already know, my boss recently bought a '94 SVX LSi. I almost have tentatively convinced him to come to Reading III.

I am asking everyone to please be on the best behavior if he shows up. Please no "Nutso Larry " jokes. I will be very demure and quiet at this meet.

I need this job to pay my dues in the formal SVX club and to put up the front money for the Indy track thing.

This post is directed at a few nameless individuals.
You know who you are, Randy, Ron, etc.

So, Larry, you want to be gentlemanly around the boss? Does this mean no more armpit farts & booger flicking contests? BORING!! Get Rosie that pearlie, & let her drive to the meet with the boss in tow. You stay home, & tell the boss working weekends is more important to you than a frivolous stay with a bunch of SVX Neanderthals. That way, you get a promotion & Rosie has a good time. Did I mention the "Suck on the wine box 'til it collapses" contest?
Ron, naturally.

You know, I've never met Larry III, BUT form what I hear and understand, there is no way Larry III would be the one in a "quiet" corner. Am I correct on this??

But Larry, if your boss can not "enjoy" this group, what good is he? BTW, have you shown him this web site so he can really get to know us? Hey guys, keep in mind Larry III's boss could be on line with us, even as I type. What is it he needs to know ?

Harry
BTW, still planning to be at Reading - can't miss meeting Larry's boss........

No, Harry. Larry is not the "quiet corner sitter." I hope that his boss's attendance does not prevent him from sharing his Italian Tenor Tones. Larry, tell your boss (in case he isn't on line at this moment) that if he's gonna be a "stick in the mud" he may as well stay home. An SVX meet is not a place for the "serious minded." Any person caught drinking anything with their pinkies in the air will be subject to having said digit severed --- even if what the person is drinking comes out of a large box.

I'm beginning to get psyched --- well, kinda. My excitement is tempered by the fact that I just spend 185.00 on having brake pads replaced all the way around and the news that I'm gonna need rotors all the way around (luckily, they couldn't find any in town today -- $$$). 112.46 each (X4), plus shipping at subaruparts.com. GULP! I wonder if Shari would object to my trying to find a "sugar mamma."
