DONE! These boys have gone way past the threshold for tranny rebuilding. Mine only took a week. Of course, they had it for 24 days later, after the rebuild, diagnosing a faulty TPS.

And, Kev, miracles DO happen. Don't forget, on TWO separate occasions, I drove directly from the shop to a meet. Don't count yourself out yet.

Randy,

I counted 27 plus Coke. You may have a new attendance record.
You certainly deserve a gold star.

Thanks, Larry. The last time I was offered a gold star, it was immediately pulled after I had a stressful moment, threw my "hat" out the window and left the room (Thanks Nick ).

I'm sure we'll have a drop-out or two. I think Ravi's car was on the block, so, I can't count on him. That's the "bad" news. The good news is that Mike (1995GreenSVX) has a few lined up to attend and if Unkle Worn shows up with BOTH of his, we can still beat the previous 25 car record. Again, I think a nice round 30 cars would be something to shoot for.

Just to whet everyone's appetites, here's what the very 1st "BIG" SVX meet in the US looked like (Reading I, April 2K). Mind you, it was only 23 cars (current record is 25 at Burlington VT, Sept 2K), but it makes quite a display. Now, take this picture and add 7 cars.

BTW, that's 3 i'd Larry to the left. This meet was also the first time that Larry was referred to as Larry aye, aye, aye, and my first exposure to what a great group of people SVXers are.

Yes it is. It's actually TOO far for me . . . but, it's now a "tradition." Plus, if you check the Yahoo archive, I pushed HARD to get people to come to the meet, so, I feel a little obligated. Not to mention it was the FIRST location for a major meet in the US.

Randy,

The photo from Reading ! was taken at Johanna Forge a forge/foundry dating back to colonial times.

I now have my SVX baseball cap, so there won't be too much glare from my forehead to ruin this year's Reading III photos.

Larry aye aye aye

Whoa, buddy. That was a stretch. You should be stiffly repremanded.

Bob Dole would be soooooooo proud.

And while we're at it, some words of wisdom:

Randy, Rufus, Ron,

I guess I'll have to "repremand" you three boys for your sophmoric posts, since Sister Mary Svxit is not controlling this site.

Randy, you will write "I will not dicuss members in this manner" 100 times.

Rufus, you will send Bob Dole an appologetic e-mail. Then you will post it here for all to see.

Ron, for the next 2 months you will only buy and drink Box-O Water.

Larry III
Mother Superior
