UPDATED INFO ON CANAAN VALLEY
I just finished speaking with reservations at canaan valley. Here is what I know:
GOOD NEWS FIRST There are only 4 rooms left in the original block of 15 yet to be reserved (Don, your firstborn is safe) I count 7 members showing up, but she indicates 11 (15-11=4) Any guesses NOT-SO-GOOD NEWS A block of 15 rooms was allocated to us, but not necessarily in the same area (or building) They will not assign specific room numbers until check-in. There are 5 buildings (close enough to see and walk between) with 50 rooms each on 2 floors. This means our "block" of 15 rooms has been pulled out of a pool of 250 rooms scattered between 5 buildings. She has no way of telling us how close we can be assigned to each other. I hope there is a centralized parking area that we can conquer.

When I spoke with Laura this morning to make my reservations, she said they only had "Double Rooms" left in our "block." She also asked me a very intersting question: "Are you afraid of heights?" Hmmmmm. Where in the Sam Hill is this place, anyway?

A lump in the Astroturf...
<BTW: Jimmy's torso is in the concrete base of the southeast goal post at Giants Stadium at the Meadowlands in NJ>
Precisely why I was awaiting the gory details. Although I heard a report on TV years ago by some guy dying of cancer, that he and some of the "boys" sent the man to the bottom of one of the Great Lakes with some oversized footwear..... ...oh well. People are known to disappear in West Virginia too... Don

Will our mystery guests enter and sign in please...
<Any guesses?>
Maybe it is "Mystery weekend" at Canaan the 19th/20th/21st. If you haven't booked folks, you'd better get a move on! Anyone make reservations, but not checked in here with the news yet? Don

Cliffhanger
<She also asked me a very intersting question: "Are you afraid of heights?" Hmmmmm. Where in the Sam Hill is this place, anyway?>
Oh darn....I forgot to tell you Randy....I set up a SPECIAL room for you and Jane...er I mean SHARI. It's called the "Treetop Suite" and its one of those "theme" rooms. It's built up in an old White Oak tree just above the main lodge. I was afraid that I was going out on a limb reserving it for you, but she said it was a swinging place.... ....has its own wild grape vines outside for transportation! ------------ Joking aside, its because you have the Top bunk in your room. She didn't want the climb up the ladder to give you a nosebleed...

S&M transmission coolers...
<Maybe some members of the S-E-X club took some of our rooms by mistake>
"This room is interesting. A whip rack, gags, and I don't even want to KNOW what that contraption over THERE is..." Gee, all I agreed to bring was some old handcuffs.... Don

Re: Re: The count so far...
Cecilia may or may not show due to the possibility of another trip.
Good news: I've found a decoy for my customers for the few days that I won't be here. Bad news: I may actually be in Hong Kong during those days... If it's not one thing, it's another... Cripes. VK (Maybe I'll call my car Cecilia in honour of LarryIII) Quote:

Victor,
If you can swing it ; get your company to book you at the Mandarin Oriental while you're in Hong Kong. It's really a great hotel. Larry III PS: I root for the NY Rangers in the NHL. 1994 was my happiest time. Unfortunately they will go nowhere again this seaon. Since a Canadian, you should like hockey. Which team do you root for? |

It'll be a pleasure trip, not a business trip.
Besides, I'll be staying at the best. It's got free laundry, and even free home cooking! I'm from there, my father's there 10 months out of the year, and my mother's there for 6 months out of a year. VK Quote:

Victor,
I've spent some time on and off in Hong Kong from '91 to '93 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I've never been to West "by God" Virginia. That will be rectified soon. Since I am a "city kid"; I'll probably prefer HK to WV. Just my personal opinion. Larry III |
