....rent the movie Pi (directed by Darren Aronofsky, also directed Requiem for a Dream) if you have no idea what I'm talking about

I need to keep my post count up - that week and a half roadtrip made me fall behind.

Eastern OR - theres nothing there, Pendleton is puny. Kinda pretty hills, Hells Pass will make the tranny heat up a bunch - use the scenic overlook to cool down halfway up.

ID - Boise (well, nampa) smells bad. Burnt beets I think. Ugh. There are nice SVX owners there though. Craters of the Moon is a neat pile of lava with pretty wildflowers in June. Arco is a nice small town with a dangerous hospital parking lot. There is nothing south of there except Pocatello where they hide the gas stations.

I love that number, it's good as apple, cherry, and my favorite...

PIZZA!!!

I worked 3 nights a week for two years at Round Table for minimum wage for the FREE PIZZA....

In my defence, it was my 3rd job, the other 2 paid much better

UT - Salt Lake City: too many Bible thumpers (or Book of Mormon, I suppose it is) and junkies. There's good mexican food though. I liked the hotel where my room looked like an aquarium with a huge octopus hanging over my bed.

Moab: boring drive between salt lake and moab - the view is pretty, but consistant. Nice town. Arches is a really cool park with bright red rock in funny shapes. I wanna go there again.

Salt Lake/Wendover: the salt lake smells funny (like rotting shrimp and urine) and has a large gnat population, doesn't look too appealing for swimming. Neat looking lake though - nice landscape. Wendover is really warm but the white sand is beautiful.

NV - rural. Long highways with sunny mountains. Reno has lots of flashing lights, gambling, the food could use some work, the hotel rooms are comfy with nice soap. Alcohol is much easier to find in Reno than in Utah. Everything is "voted the best in Reno". Everything. And the people at the brothel are quite friendly.

CA - Lake Tahoe is beautiful (lake surrounded by mountains), there's a bit more to do in South Tahoe, but Tahoe City is more relaxing. Redding is too hot (104 in late June at 5pm) and the sign saying "downtown this way" leads you to a dead-end. Eureka is a funky coastal town. The redwoods are magnificent, I wish I could've spent days amongst the huge trees.

OR coast - there's a few redwoods here too. The landscape is nice - big ocean with a lotta funny-shaped rocks and cliffs and beaches and a few sanddunes and rivers along HWY 101. Devil's churn is a cool demonstration of strange waves n rocks. Bandon is a nice little town with great seafood and over-enthusiastic PD and a beach full of beautiful rocks and starfish. Yachats is another cool little town with a nice beach (shamrock logettes is a great hotel) and good food. Yachats has bizzar headless people on their street-signs though. The coast has a lotta fog in the morning.
