Re: My new custom wing. What a freakin ordeal.

You mentioned in another thread that your a "free man" in a "free country." I firmly belive this aswell, hence the reason behind my name. Does't get more American than someone doing whatever the hell they want, despite everyones opinion, right? So again, you mentioned the cost.. It must have been pretty substantial for you to keep mentioning it. Care to enlighten me on what the cost was for the custom wing? Custom ANYTHING cost a heap of cash for our vehicles, so I imgagine yours wasn't cheap. Just gimmie an estimate.

Also, are you origionally from another country or were you raised in the country or something? You seem pretty patriotic..

Re: My new custom wing. What a freakin ordeal.

My country is Chicago. I love the city and think its awesome. Ever get a chance to come here I'll get my wife to let me show you around.

Okay here we go with the cost. This figure is embarrassing however if Im going to claim Ive got balls then why should I hid the cost.

$1100 Cost to buy the side skirts and spoiler
$0175 Cost to paint skirts and spoiler
$1400 Cost to build the first wing plus put on side skirts and front spoiler
$0150 Cost to paint wing
$0500 Cost to have the ugly assed first wing changed
$0300 Cost to have the new wing painted to match the car

This is an outrageous amount of money for something that is in my opinion "just having fun" and for something that even to me is only marginally better looking than the beautiful original wing.

Yeah, I think I was nuts when the guy said $1400 and I said, "can I leave the car now, you start now, and get one of your guys to drive me back to work".

It was impulse and I wish I could take it back.

I have to say though that if I had not done it my vision of an svx with a large F40 style wing would have been on my mind ever single day.

The SVX is expensive.

Re: My new custom wing. What a freakin ordeal.

Landshark, this is the one thing you have said that hurts man.

(not really hurts but just sucks because I think I paid to much to start and then I changed it which cost more)

I mean really man. At least Im man enough to expose my weakness and the price I paid makes me think, "what the f where you thinking", every day.

So your little sissy comments about the wing being ugly and the stupid pictures just look silly to me. I love the wing and I dont see ugly in it so those comments just are like blanks being fired at you.

But this price though, oh yeah, you got me there.

One thing that makes me feel better though is that my SVX looks better than your SVX any day without a wing, with the new wing, and, with the old wing.

Okay now, since Ive said the price hurts I know I will get a bunch of posts here from sissy's hitting me from the price angle. Go ahead. Bring it on sucka's. I know my car tops 90% of your's any day, even when its dirty.

Some people like stock SVX's.. It looks clean and sexy without the additional fiberglass added to it.
