It looks like a nice car, but the price, hmmm.

Re: Interesting price...
It's a beautiful, very low mileage, rare '97. I've seen '96 and '97 cars with similar mileage sell for around $20,000.
If it had 1000 miles on it 32K would be about right. The original price was about $35K. A mint '92 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 with 47K just sold for 34K a few minutes ago, just for perspective.

Re: Interesting price...
They would really need to justify this price, and that starts with posting more than two photos and showing maintenance records. While it *does* look decent, they are two low-resolution photos that really don't give a good idea what the car actually looks like. As an owner of a low miles '97, I actually hope they get their asking price; as the saying goes: a rising tide lifts all boats.

Re: Interesting price...
For that price I would hope that it had been completely refreshed, and near new. Stuff like:
new timing belt new water pump all pulleys refreshed/new bearings belts replaced power steering pump rebuilt A/C recharged/converted, new shocks/structs, bushing refreshed, engine mounts refreshed, grounding strap replaced, 4 new wheel bearings for good measure, rebuilt transmission, etc.. Replacing them even if those things hadn't failed yet. Then it would be like buying an as-close-to-new SVX as you can get these days. Unfortunately I've found with these low mileage 'unicorns' is they have never had any major service items done, belts are rotting away and all the usually parts (wheel bearings, transmission, structs, engine mounts, etc.) are about the fail. If the current owner hasn't done the 120K service yet, it's going need $1000+ dollars of work straight away. |

Re: Interesting price...
Not to mention, I would not think Craigslist commands the high-dollar bidders.

Re: Interesting price...
No, that honor goes to BaT. It amazes me how so many people have so much money to spend on cars.
