Stock ECU location
Still got my CEL 45 error - atmospheric pressure sensor.
(anyone managed to fix the same issue on their SVX) Wish to open mine up and check what might be a capacitor issue - anyone know what pin the sensor is linked to ?. TIA

Re: Stock ECU location
It's up sort of under the steering wheel area. Small hands and ratcheting 10mm wrench make it slightly less unpleasant...

Unfortunately it says "When trouble code 45 appears on display, replace ECU" It is inside the ECU housing Here's an old thread on ECU removal: http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...023#post651023

Re: Stock ECU location
Steve,
found it - yes you are right. Now all I need is a spare ECU from this side of the ditch, so I can PnP with mine, then work through what the issue is with mine? - I suspect dry/leaking capacitor similar to my A/C controller that I fixed a couple of years ago. So has anyone got a spare they are willing to donate till I get mine fixed, will return the unit afterwards - would prefer someone in this part of the world (eg non-USA type with p/n 22611AA710 or 22611AA711). Thanks again.

Re: Stock ECU location
So? Does the car run and drive good?
I've been driving my 1992 American SVX with the 'CHECK ENGINE' light on for 10 years...car always runs great!!! But if it does cause some annoying 'performance' issue while driving, I'd install an inline capacitor to override the problem. |

Re: Stock ECU location
The cars drives well, apart from when the weather starts getting a bit cold - hence the atmospheric sensor issue showing CEL 45.
I have now had 2 people here in NZ loaning me 2 ECUs so that I can fault find the issue with mine (really want to keep the original ECU with car). Does anyone know what the atmospheric sensor is / where located / signal type is, to the ECU ?. I am hoping that the issue is a dry capacitor...will keep you all posted.
