Re: SVX bodykit and front update

Farang, I very much appreciate all your hard work and certainly all the skill it took to create your new look... I'm just puzzled as to why you just chose to make it look like a legacy?? It seems like a big hassle that to me doesn't seem that aggressive, or even better at all. I actually prefer the stock SVX look!

Again, not making fun, but I'm curious why that is the route you went, when you clearly have the skill to make some of the other designs that you have shared with us. I think the bnr33 front looked amazing! Why not decide to do that? Your work is very impressive, why not make the car into a show-stopper!?

My SVX had headlights in very bad condition. They were muddy, scratched and turned yellow. I tried to polish it but the result has not satisfied me. Then I did attempt to buy new headlights from SVX or in a good condition. Big problem. The price was rather high or it is impossible to send it to Russia. Then I have decided to change a front end considerably. This work has interested to me very much. I have thought that it is necessary to make my project similar to more modern Subaru models. At first I wished to instal front from Legacy BL, but this work was impossible. Also I did not wish to add too much aggression. SVX is the GT coupe. I have thought that the front from Legacy BD will be harmonious. Similarly the SVX after restyling. Besides the second generation of Legacy is very pleasant to me. These models were made in parallel in one time. I could buy the grille and headlights from Legacy BD very cheap. Condition is nice.

It is my first experience of manufacturing FG body kit. The installation of other headlights took a lot of time. Also manufacturing of a hood and bumpers was difficult and so long. I have begun work in the autumn 2009. I have learnt to work in Photoshop only in the winter and to do changes in my first project was late. May be I would change my sights now. I will probably use my ideas later. I just wish to finish my work.....

Re: SVX bodykit and front update

Hood, headlights and grille look nice, but for my tastes everything below that is too busy. I prefer cleaner and simpler lines to fit the rest of the car--and would like to see a sample of that. The shape of the bumper is fine, but like I said---very busy, cluttered, blingy or fake looking---whatever you want to call it.

I tried to work with Maxima's picture. The result is not pleasant to me. Perhaps I will make it better some time later.

I have seen the Toyota Matrix in the street and I have decided to some dream up on this theme.

Re: SVX bodykit and front update

This thread is so fun, your efforts are much appreciated Farang. I can't wait to see some updates on your SVX. If you get time could you possibly try the front end of a 92 300zx & Ford Probe? You're either a photoshop ninja or spend a lot of time working on these mockups, I hope it's not the latter. Thanks
