Geeeezz!!
What fathers have to put up with. Good that she lives in Louisiana--long ways from some of you. Actually maybe all of you should read more of my posts--remember as it says--I am an old timer and if you remember--I gave one of my cars (94 Red LE) to a granddaughter (SVXyRED--car and girl--a redhead). Again--granddaughter--its her daughter. So, she is not young, but she is a professional dancer that owns a dance studio, so mechanical work is a definite accomplishment. It just shows that anyone with good intelligence, common sense, ability to read and think can do some mechanical things to our cars. It also helps to have a positive attitude and great self confidence.

Hoooray, a female SVX mechanic
My wife and I both appreciate this story for sure. The previous owner of my 96 Polo was a female, who claims she worked for a racing pit crew, and did much of the work to the 96 Polo I bought from her. Anyway, my polo has been down at OT's house the last three weeks getting worked on. He told me the last person to put in the right front axle put it in backwards. Yep, that was her, hippi chick. Young Tom met her when he went to inspect the polo before I bought it last may. She did a hack job on some wires that minnie mouse ate through Also OT tells me the 96 polo was only in FWD and I had no idea, cause I never drove it in the rain or snow. I wasnt driving the car cause of all the issues it had with leaks etc. So lee, its a refreshing story to hear a positive story about a female mechanic, as obviously the one who owned my car was not nearly as bright and mechanically inclined as yours.

I think its great when a woman can fix her own car, but men should not be so surprised. Its really not that hard and since women are "naturallly" smarter than men Its a piece of cake! I grew up working on mopars with my dad. He said he gave me wrenches to chew on when I was teething and when all the other girls in my neighborhood rode around on bicycles with training wheels I was cruising on my lil Yamaha dirk bike lol. I give mad props to any girl who's a "do it yourselfer"
+10 to your daughter |

Hahhaha, No seriously!! I'm gonna be swapping out my driveshaft and possibly replacing my clutch in the next week or so... This year should be a big year of Autocrossing for me (hopefully) and I want to make sure that I don't have parts "FAIL" (damn it, I hate that word now ) when I am at an event...
