Taking apart the engine from the tranny
Any one have a good pic that can point to the right bolts to seperate engine from the transmission? Thats my project for Sunday and I heard its supposed to only be like 6 bolts....I just want to make sure its the right six.

just look at it. Its pretty straight forward. Also I believe you have to take the torque converter bolts out, there is 4 I believe. Or maybe you dont I dont remember. Of course I never had them both out of the car..

There's an access port on the passenger side of the engine. There's supposed to be a rubber plug there. You can get to the bolts there.

Torque converter bolts...easiest way Ive seen was to take like 40 ratchet extensions, tape them together (so they dont come apart) and run that sucker under the intake manifold. Use a breaker bar on the crank to rotate / hold the engine still as needed to locate the tc bolts.
Theres I believe 4 bolts holding the tranny on other than that. One is the top bolt of the starter. its like 3 inches long..youll see when ou go to take it out. The other one is in the same position on the other side, and theres two near the bottom that are quite easy to see btw, nice tranny. very clean. new / rebuilt?

Yes there is only 4 bolt.
