I noticed some of the people on the board with numbers after the cars in their sigs, so I did a search and found this thread. Just wanted to add two more cars to the list.
My current '92 silver metallic is #8016. My previous '92 black mica, currently owned by my father, is #0116. QM |

I read the whole thread and it looks like nobody really knows how to tell the production number or the real vehicle #, Just curious I have a 94 and my last six are 103232! O.K , What does this mean???

interesting point
So ensteele, reading that link article (thanks for that) why is mine a "multipurpose passenger" (2) vehicle and nearly everybody elses a "passenger (1) vehicle"? and the sequential numbering for a coupe is 100000 + but my VIN number is 002022? I know I am leaving myself wide open asking a question like that I can't resist asking the question.

Multipurpose? That is so you can do multi purposes with it. Sorry. Had to do it. I don't know why your VIN doesn't follow the same scheme.

I found this at
cars101.com that Svx info site
SVX Sales by year (courtesy SOA and Gil. B) 1991 1513* 1992 3667* 1993 3859 1994 1666 1995 1801 1996 1111 1997 640 Total: 14,257 *Note: 1991 Production started in Jan. 1991 until June 1991 for the 1992 SVX. Total 1992 sales: 5,280. All 1992s have 'N' in the VIN. so technically there where some considered 91s I wish I had the VINs and build dates of my last 5 or 6 Svxs just to know where they stood technically. BTW, Im back up to 4 Svxs, just bought a 97 Bordeaux today
