Pictures (and a vid) of my friends GSX-R
Took some pics (and a vid) of my friend's 2001 Suzuki GSX-R today, after taking a bunch of decals off.
It's a 750 with full Yoshimura exhaust (including headers), a jet kit, and gears. It can beat a 1000 easily. He just got it 6 days ago from another friend who barely drove it. It's got around 4000 miles on it, and he's put 150 on it in the past 6 days, lol. Anyway, Here's the pic's . Right click -> save target as for the video.

That's a sweet bike. Tell him to be careful. I had a friend in high school that was almost killed on one.

Very nice! Hope he keeps the shiny side up!
I put 831 miles on my Ninja the first 6 days I had it.

At Hahn Racecraft I got to ogly over a Hayabusa....but no no, not any NORMAL hayabusa.... it had the Stage 1 TURBO KIT ON IT. Certified 202mph in 'sport bike' magazine or something, they did an article on his bike a few months back.

Do you really need to go that fast on 2 wheels? It would suck catching a bug in the face at that speed.

Oh come on, 200mph is freaking cool. You have to admit that.

re: 200mph
200mph is a bit too much for me on two wheels.. now if it were on 4 or came with wings, it'd be a different story....maybe a big propeller would do too.

I have wondered for many years about the thrill of "fast" cars. Let's see, a box-stock GSX-R will go 0-100-0 in less time than a Z-06 vette uses just to get to 100. Back in the day (just after dirt was invented) I thought myself quite fast with a 11.73 sec qtr mile, big block MOPAR. Then I took a trip down the strip on a friend's bike....Today, just watching Angelle Savoie/Anton Brown/... on a pass makes me almost soil my pants. Quite happy these days to putter about casually on my old Norton Commando. |
