How does the BP at the top of the Bombay's work for you guys? Meet say @10.30-11.00am?

I created a run map early last year.. maybe it's worth considering again?

Basically we head off from BP Bombay and head west toward Tuakau and then make our way down and across to Raglan. Should take abt 1.5-2Hrs.

Grab a bite, drink, or both and then head back via Huntly and the motorway.

Shane you're coming from the other direction; does that work for you?

I haven't driven that road for a while, but I suspect there is about 5km of gravel through there between Waingaro and SH23. (Streetview seems to disagree, perhaps I'm thinking of somewhere else). If you're allergic to gravel you might want to Streetview the route from SH23 backwards.

Either way, the route looks good to me.

I'll plan to meet you where ever you hit SH23.
Which appears to be at the intersection of SH23 and Ohautira Rd (about 8km out of Raglan).
Can someone please confirm and if there is any change in route please keep me informed (021 742 634)* so I'm not left somewhere in the dark :-)

I dropped an email to Trevor as well. He will be an interesting character to meet.

* remember there is probably no cell phone coverage along many sections as you get closer to Raglan

I just checked the weather again - not looking so bright, if we go ahead with Sunday my partner may not be with me - she has a presentation to do in the afternoon (will let you know on Saturday if she can change it to another day).

OR we could drag it out for the Sunday after - the 15th ?????

Unfortunately I'm booked on the 14th/15th as support crew for my wife's endurance ride @ Woodhill.

Next free weekend at the moment is the 28/29th. After that I'm busy right through to the end of October and already booking things in for November/December
