4:44 converions woes

You must use the SVX converter. Search this forum for the excellent how-to by svxfiles.

If the transmission you have will not work, I have a professionally rebuilt 4.44 with about 12,000 miles on it that I need to get rid of. I decided to put in a manual and have no use for it. Not interested in getting much for it. Just want to get it out of garage.

Hey gang.. in the middle of a 4:44 conversion and ran into a little snag. SVX has 11" flex plate and donor tranny has 11 3/4" bolt pattern. Trying to track down the correct flex plate but cant seem to get the junk yards to cooperate. What models did the 11 3/4 flex plate come on?? I am making a big assumption that the bigger TC will fit in the housing with the SVX starter (looks like it will but ??)
