Successful Performance @ 24hours of Lemons New Orleans (56k death)
The rundown:
Drove forever Failed tech badly Welded all night Couple hours sleep Barely passed tech Made 100 laps even on Sat. On Sunday, brake probs, offs and collisions Served "Mardis Gras", "Bob Ross" and "Bubba Teeth" penalties Finished on top of the box in the AWD SVX with manual trans class Won the "Should've Bought a Car with a Carburator Or Maybe a Swamp Buggy" trophy Drove the car on the trailer Red-eyed it home by sunrise on Monday = success!!!! Great time. I have a ton more pics. These are just of our Championship car and team |

Thanks man, it was a ton of fun. The organizers are the ones that put SUX instead of SVX. pretty funny. Turned out that the brake-light switch on the manual pedal assembly was pushing the brakes down slightly, which slowed out lap times and made us change pads three times over the weekend.

Looks like fun! I'll be in the LeMons New England race in July, not with an SVX though. I'm just curious, how the hell did a VW rabbit take 1st place?

Engine currently dead, replacement in garage being rebuilt. 80 Pontiac Firebird formula, 350TPI swapped in, car needs to be finished. |

Yeah, the paint job was part of a penalty we incurred for going four off. We actually went through three sets of front pads all weekend. The problem was the brake light switch was threaded-in too far slightly pushing the pedal down.
