It's a very nice head unit. comes with remote (never really used the remote tho). the green lighting on the buttons goes nicely with the suby-green lights at night. works perfectly, in perfect condition so far as I can tell. I'm only selling it cause I want a single-DIN head unit so I can mount a DIN gauge pack. not a fan of a-pillar pods .

I like this unit, becuase the display has a very low bling factor. no movies of dolphins or spaceships. the blue display provides a nice contrast with the green lights. it'd look really nice in a gray interior IMO. it functions really well and puts out wonderful sound.

The going price seems to be 275 shipped (searched on nasioc). so let's say 250 shipped for you kind folks? I'll leave it for sale for a week or so then I'll be posting it up on nasioc for the WRX boys to eat up.

Nice, I've been debating between this and the 4100. I don't think my wife will let me buy one just yet, but I'm going to try. Just out of curiosity, does it play MP3 disks?

I haven't tried, but I don't believe so. it doesn;t list it as an ability so I think it's safe to say it doesn't.

8-tracks and turntables

Do you guys listen to tape cassettes? I mean I've read about them in books, but I didnt think they actually existed. Just playin. How does it fit and sound in the car? Want to replace the stock radio but not sure if I should put in another tape deck/cd player. Other than getting that "full" look in the radio bay for me it isnt practical. But I dont know what else to put in there. Gauges??? Maybe. Congradulations on your stereo though. Looks good.

huh? tapes? I thought that was a slot for Atari cartidges.

I don't use tapes except for the occasional audiobook on very long trips. never used this tape player. it's nice to have the option though.

as far as fit and sound, it sounds great. I was really impressed when I popped in a CD after I bought the car and it sounded as good as it did. I was sure he had aftermarket speakers, but he had just the stock paper cones. if you were local I'd let you have a listen. it's worlds better than any Subaru stereo I've listened to. to see what it looks like in my car, check out the pic I have of it under "auction pics" in my locker.

i like having a tape deck in my stereo so i can run my minidisc player through one of those tape adapters.. but those tape adapters are actually kind of crummy.. i'd rather have a stereo with an RCA (white and red) "Line In" somewhere on the front so i could hook my turntables up to it

Jay Leno owns a vintage car ( I don't recall the make) from the '50s that DID come from the factory with a turntable in the glovebox!

Don't know if it was 33 1/3 RPM's, or 78!
