Hood insulation

This may be a dumb question, but will removing the hood insulation result in noticeably more noise or paint issues on the hood due to heat ? A mouse has made a home in my insulation . Scared him away, but expect him to return .I don`t think it will stop at one . I am also presuming a new mat is no longer available from Subaru . Any recommendations ? Thanks
