I took today off work
The svx needs some work to get her roadworthy, like the timing belt. I started to clean up the bay a little last week and found this little eyesore!
Over the weekend I have been doing a little at a time. My back only allows a couple hours at a time. All of the orange stuff is penetrating oil that sat from some rusty bolts(note to self don't spray stuff at the block you don't intend to wipe away immediately). The mud, sand, dirt, & glass...don't ask, was so deep I practically had to shovel it out of the grooves in the case. Some advise to anyone washing their engines, used some compressed air to thoroughly dry the engine so this stuff doesn't build up. Here is how it stands now, I have a long way to go but I feel progress has been made. Especially without any compressed air or pressurized water. Just elbow grease.
