will 02-08 WRX oil filter fit?

I was looking to get an oil filter sandwich adapter for the svx to easily add an oil cooler.
I found one that fits the 02-08 WRX and couldn't find info on whether or not it would fit the EG.
I looked up oil filters between the two motors and they aren't the same, but the part numbers are similar.

Anyone know for sure or can direct me to a site that could help me?
