code 11? crank angle sensor

i just checked my codes today, i check them every once in awhile because my cel is always on because my speedo doesnt work, i check it every month or so to make sure nothing new pops up. well today i checked them and i get code 11. how can i fix this? do i have to buy a new sensor or can it be cleaned etc? and how can i check this part? thanks for any help.
