Helpwith 5spd pedal install 90legacy pedals.

I was putting the pedal asembley in yesterday (90 legacy pedals) It bolted in and I made it so all the holes lined up and started to tighten it down, but then i pressed the clutch in and it wouldent go down, so i looked to see what was bloacking it form moving it, turned out the wiring going through a plastic box was bloacking it from moving, i was wondering if any one has run into this problem and has gotten around it. Thanks
