Subaru 6-disk CD head unit (2003). Major service: none except for transmission replacement. Plugs, drive belts and timing belts were replaced at 60,000. Engine Condition: excellent Maintenance Records: have all records since 5/96 Transmission condition: good Glass condition: good (glass is tinted) Type of tire and remaining tread: Sumitomo HTR+ 225/45R17 90% Type of wheels: Rota Boost 17 new condition Interior condition: excellent Body condition: excellent Known defects or problems: 1. Cigarette lighter socket currently not functional suspect bad lighter. I have new replacement lighter socket. 2. Cruise switch can be sticky. Cruise is operational. 3. There is a slight whine associated with the power steering pump. There are no operational issues with it and the fluid looks good, but I suspect that it may require attention in the future. Comments about the car: I bought this car in 5/96. It has been lavished with attention since then and has wanted for nothing. Garaged since I have owned the car and to my knowledge garaged since new. The interior is in new condition. The wear that is noticeable at all is on the driver's seat, and it is no more than well broken in - no rips or tears. Carpeting is like new, always protected. Rear seat has rarely been used. The original radio/cassette was replaced with a 6-disk unit from an Outback. There is no rust anywhere - the car was not driven in winters and may have been exposed to salt 4-5 times since I have owned it and always well-flushed each time. All fluids have been changed regularly. The oil has been changed more often than necessary and I have used Mobil 1 5W30 only. Likewise the front/rear diffs have Mobil 1 75W90. Paint condition is very good to excellent. At the time I bought it, there was some damage to the front fender and it was replaced and the hood wand upper half of the passenger door repainted. The paint matches as perfectly as is possible. Of course there are a few small nicks and chips here and there as with any car that is driven on the road but overall the look is like new. "Old Tom" installed the transmission after the original started having issues in March 2007. It had just over 60,000 on the odometer then. He also did the "$15.00/15-minute mod" and installed a modified dropping resistor (firmer shifts). Having owned this car for 14 years, it has been a hard decision to sell - but it is time. I will be retiring and moving to Texas soon and cannot justify keeping it. Time for someone else to enjoy it. I would say that this is probably one of the best 1992 SVXs you will find anywhere. I know I have done as much as I could to keep it in new condition. Asking price: $4,600.00 Photos: All taken 9/25/10. If there is anything you want a better view of let me know and I will try to get you a picture ASAP. http://s436.photobucket.com/albums/qq81/jnj7707/SVX/ Please email jnj7707@yahoo.com with questions.
