I'll probably do the same - the dust build up on my front rims is at least 10x the rear rims.
I still wonder if they hold up better than the stock pads once they heat up.
svxboy - any comments on this?

fade

I always thought the stock pads didn't hold up well at all under high heat conditions. The EBC's work really well, I have had no fade conditions yet even under the most brutal stopping conditions I have put them through. Also this has been the first time I didn't have to clean my front rims on a regular basis. They stay really clean. -Greg

If you get a set of EBC green stuff pads from someone, make certain that they are the V4 pads (newest version) and not the older models (V3). I had a set of the V3 on my RS and they dusted like you would not believe. After one hour of driving my front rims would be anthracite. I have heard that the V4s are excellent though.

Weird, mine dusts about the same front and back. I haven't had to replace the back pads, but the front ones are the mid grade napa ones that cost about $60 - $70 for the pair (L & R). The brake feel and amount of dusting didn't change when I went to these so I assume that they are very similar to what was on there before, and there for assume that this may be what was on the back. (over the past 40k i've had my car I haven't needed to replace these.)

Wow I use the Axxis Metalmasters @ $35/pair very little dust, and absolutely no fade even during 1/2hr worth of track time @ limerock.

There's a guy in I-club claiming that the stock svx pads are EBC green pads. There are also a couple people claiming that the EBC pads are not good at all.
Still looking for a good set of pads that won't destroy my rotors.

He's wrong. I know someone who has some greenstuff pads in his neon, and they really are awesome. Far less dust than factory pads.

remember, the V4's are the good pads, the V3's were junk.
