big box at bottom of fender

Question for the group: there looks to be a large black plastic box of some sort that's right at the bottom of the driver's side fender well. Mine is loose, and appears to be hanging down a bit.

Can anyone tell me what exactly this box is?

Front or rear? and a picture would help. Nothing jumps to mind from your description..

Front, between the back side of the lower bumper and tire, driver's side. I noticed something hanging down on the car yesterday while I was cleaning the wheels, and was able to jiggle it around with my hand. The car's been lowered, so I didn't want to have to put it up on stands to take a closer look. Just figured someone in here might know what it was...

There is no "box" in that area stock, there is the plastic fender liner, which I think has a "dropped" area right in front of the tire, that maybe you're mistaking for a box....
