I decided to rejoin the forums after the near death of my 3rd SVX. I figured I'd better get my 97 LSi registered. I originally was a member a few months after these boards opened way back then under RRX. I used to own a teal 92 LSL that got totaled. Back then I remember my insurance was $512 a month due to my age and SVXs weren't that old then. I became a lurker after my 2nd SVX (93 anniversary) got totaled and my old login stopped working. I was starting to think that I have bad luck with these cars. Each time it was the other drivers fault.
Back in January, I hit a wheel that was just sitting in the middle of the highway. The wreck messed up my wheel, radiator, bumper, fender and various parts of the suspension. I slid on the bottom of the car a good 50 ft. Initially State Farm thought it might be a total loss, but the costs wound up being around 4k so they covered it.  I am relieved that my car is fixed. It would have been a pain finding another SVX and spending thousands whipping it into shape again.
