$5, 5 minute droopy visor fix

$5, 5 Minute droopy visor fix

Sick of messing with those droopy visors or don't want to pay to get new ones or the current ones fixed? This $5, 5 minute method will solve your problems!

Before:

First go to RadioShack and buy the following 2 items:

The magnets come in a 2 pack.

Do not get the glue on your skin! It is very fast acting and strong!

Use the glue on one side of the magnet and place it on the visor:

Place glue on the other magnet and firmly press into the area above the other magnet. You may have to apply more glue and repeat for the glue to soak into the cloth. IMPORTANT: Make sure you have the magnetic charges opposite so it attracts, and not repels.

Make sure the magnets will touch!

And once dry you'll be done and without a droop!

Mine is still in good shape, so that's a non-issue right now for me. Plus the magnets weight next to nothing so they won't pull down on the headliner much if at all

Its not the magnets that pull it down, its the weight of the visors. This is about as good as the velcro mod...

Re: $5, 5 minute droopy visor fix

I have always wondered, what if you could slip a strong magnet inside the visor, wouldn't it be attracted to the metal in the roof? Or is the headliner too thick for this to work?

A strong bar magnet should be able to do the trick. A thin strip may not...

Correct. Your headliner will be toast after this mod.
