added another "investment" to my line-up...
this is the yr Im working on buying several investment
cars to sell in 4-5 yrs. This particular car may educate some of the
younger members...it was only done once and never
to my knowledge done again...

can you name the car ?

this one has only 40k orig miles, rust free
and one of the last few made in 1976

dont think anyone under 30 even knows about these cars..
what cool is how Chevy put a Cosworth designed
motor into their econo-box, to go against of all cars
of the era, the Pinto and Gremlin etc and even the
V8s of the day.

my dad had a Vega when i was little. to this day, if i mention either "Vega" or "VW Bus", he grits his teeth and clenches his fists.

Chevrolet Cosworth Vega.Which have been known to run for as long as several thousand miles before the aluminum cylinder head cracked.

(this coming from a sprite who grew up in the back of a puke green Pontiac Astro wagon (Vega clone for the younger sprites) who to this day can't decide which was worse... The Super beetle or the Vega. Oh well, I won't ride in either make.

I thought the Safari was the Vega clone, or was that only in wagon trim?
