Camber kits
Anyone know about the camber kits being offered on eBay?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ADME:B:SS:MT:1 I'm wondering if they're designed specifically for the SVX or just a hack mod from existing kits. Thanks in advance for everyone's feedback. -Bill

With my front springs in your car, you probably will not need a camber kit with the front, but it will be right at the limit. The range with the stock front camber bolts and my springs is about -1.4 deg to -0.8 deg. -0.8 is an ok number. The stock nominal spec is -0.4 deg. Our cars don't need to dial in a huge amount of camber in the front because our cars have a large amount of caster (much more than most cars) which automatically builds in camber as the steering wheel is turned. You'll want to put some camber bolts in the rear though. The ones I have in my car are this brand: http://www.specprod.com/ The part# is 81260 You can get them at many alignment shops for about $25-$30. I've had no problems with mine. Simple to install and easy to use.

With my suspension setup I am running about 1.5 degrees negative camber in the front, and about 1.2 degrees negative in the rear. 0 toe front and rear, ride height roughly stock. Maybe slightly higher than stock in the rear.
It is extremely neutral (slight understeer) on corner entry and mid-corner, and I can put the tail out slightly on corner exit under power. |

How long (miles) have you been running with this set up? How are the tires wearing? Thanks. -Bill

that particular Ebay kit wont work or
fit the SVX, and one day they will find out if someone actually buys a set and ends up returning them.
The best and only kits I know of are as easy as replacing one of the lower strut bolts with a camber offset bolt. Done correctly with no grinding, cutting etc.... http://store.yahoo.com/svx-motorspor...ncambolki.html
