a rebuilt 4eat's worth
Hello, Just wondering if anyone would know how much an newly rebuilt 4eat(R4AXEL) with 3,000 miles on it and a 1yr 12,000 mile warranty and an oil cooler would be worth. Im thinking about selling it be get a used 5 speed from a wrx. I was just wondering how much it would be worth, or if there would be any interest in one (even though it is a 4eat).
Thanks, --Miles |

Flare = slip in-between 2nd-3rd

I don't think its a slip
I dont think that what the tranny is doing is slipping. I read a previous post about how before changing gears the engine revs up then slams into gear. In the post I understood that it was some kind of tension that could be tightend and the problem would stop. I dont think that it is slippage because the tranny used to do the same thing before it was rebuilt. My thought of slippage was the time it took to connect the engine to the transmission. Correct me if im wrong, but I thought that slippage time was when the flywheel is connecting to the torque converter and they where spining at different speeds. kind of like driving a 5 speed and taking about 10 seconds to engage the clutch which would increase slippage between the flywheel and clutch. Again please correct me if im wrong.
--Miles P.S. I still dont know how much the tranny is worth it has a ATRA warranty for 1 yr 12,000 miles which has about 9 months 9,000 miles left on it. I also has and oil cooler that I would be selling along with it. So if any one has any ideas on how much I should be asking please let me know. |
