Limited Slip Differential Fix?
I posted on a few other threads and haven't gotten any replies for two days. This has never happened before so I'm starting another thread. I have the common binding issue. The car shuddering when turning at low speeds. I am getting a #24 code from the transmission. So I got a new C solenoid. My subaru mechanic hasn't started any work but now wants me to get new clutch plates, gaskets etc... before he goes in there assuming these parts will need replacing as well. Does this sound right. I just learned about a LSD additive to the trans. that has helped some people with this binding issue. I don't know if this would help me if my c solenoid is not working. Please set me straight on any of this so I can go forward and have a normal working car for a change. Thanks.
Mike

The additive is not a cure all fix for the AWD. The fact that it's binding is indicating there's a problem with the solenoid, valve and/or clutches. If you're going in to change one thing you may as well change them all.
Do it right or do it twice!

Clutch Plates
I was just trying to order these parts with 1st subaru parts and was informed that the six drive and six driven plates are obsolete. Not made anymore. They're was like one left in a warehouse somewhere. Can I get these aftermarket somewhere. Checking here first before I do a web search. Thanks.

Extension case
Extension case is 203.64 on subaruparts.com. Couldn't tell if this contains the plates in it that I need. I'll check with subaru if the wrx plates will work probably wednesday. Thanks.
