Knock Sensor Level ? Does it change on a rough road?
The knock sensor is a vibration pick-up.
From what I understand the frequency of the "knock" is low. Is this right? Does the knock sensor also pick-up road vibration from a rough road? Does the timing retard on a rough road from the knock sensor reading? Take care, John

The knock sensors are designed such that only a specific vibration/knock originating from the engine block will register a signal. A weight is incorporated within the sensor to achieve this end.
Road vibrations will most certainly not affect the sensor or ignition timing.
