Crank Angle Sensor Replacement

I had a code 11 for the crank angle sensor and bought a new one. Are they're instructions anywhere on here or can someone give me instructions on how to replace this. I have to do an o2 sensor code 37 which I found instructions for as well. Thanks.

Mike

if i am not mistaken, that would be the sensor on the driver side cam gear area, right next to the battery. it's pretty straight forward. i dont remember if it was a 10mm or 12mm. but there are two bolts to take out and the sensor itself comes right off. i think i had to wiggle it a bit - this was when the engine was pulled out of the car so it was a lot easier for me to take it off. and of course you would have to unplug it first.

i hope this info was for the sensor you were talking about.

Crank angle are at the very top of the engine, at the front near the alternator. The cam sensor is at the front, driver's side of the engine. All are very easy to replace.

Before you replace it, check to see if it is merely dirty. I found mine covered with gunk recently.

There are actually 2 crank angle sensors on the SVX, both are right under the alternator, just remove the alternator, and they are super easy to get to.

The one on the left side head (by the oil fill) is the Cam position Sensor.

O2 sensors are a little harder to get to as you have to get under the car, they are pretty easy other than the clips are difficult to unfasten from the main harness, but unhook them first, then you can use a boxed end wrench to remove them.
