Brakes Popping
I've heard a lot of sounds before, but this one is new to me. Under heavy breaking, reguardless of speed, it is like the breaks are "popping". They make a small popping sound, i'll get 2-3 pops when i brake heavily. It does not have anything to do with rotational speed, long as it's not stopped. My rotors are clear of any obstruction, though they're slightly warped, and the pads are low, both situations i've encountered in the past, but never heard this sound. I have new pads and rotors in the mail, but i want to isolate the problem before i install them incase it would cause damage to the new parts.

Does it ever pop when your not braking but maybe making a sharp turn (same thing regardless of speed) Mine pop too, but I just replaced my pads and rotors yesterday and they still pop. A few monthes ago both my front axles went out and it wasn't them either because they popped before and after my axles were replaced. Mine happend under heavy and light breaking though, but not every single time. And the only time I actually notice it while turning is when at low speeds, but its not loud enough for me to know if it pops while I'm driving fast where there is too much noise.

Under heavy brakeing, you will hear a series of noises. This is the ABS at work. I don't know it that is what you are talking about, but I thought I would mention that.

Popping
After cleaning a lot of caked on road trash when I first got my SVX, I noticed a lot more noise from the entire front end.
I replaced my front brakes because they were quite worn, and this did not help the situation. If you look back through some of the threads, you will find the possibility of Bushings being damaged by Oil, and Hydraulic leakage over the years. I think this is what is happening with mine, but there is the distict possibility of the road conditions here. I drove through an unmarked construction zone one time, and bottomed the car. This happens to coincide with the onset of the noises also. Of course, they have argued otherwise, and will not pay for the confirmed damage. I am getting ready to garage the SVX for the summer, and do some major upkeep on these areas, so I think it will take care of the problem. Anyway. I would spend some time examining the front suspension now, since you have been through other options.

The car has new front axels. It doesn't matter if i'm turning or not, which would make me believe that it's not the CV joints, a sound i'm very familiar with, and it's not that. It doens't happen all the time, rarely at all actually, but it does happen, which is why i'm curious if that's it. I think when i do my rotors and pads i'm going to flush the break system. There's no gunk built up around hte calipars or rotors, so i wouldn't think it would be that. It doesn't happen when i'm stopped, so it's hard to tell that way too. It's not so much that i hear it, in fact it makes no noise at all. I feel it though, in the brake pedel. I can almost completely isolate it to the front driver side wheel, i don't feel it coming from any of the other wheels.
I want to check my suspention when i put my pads and rotors on.

Re: Brakes Popping
I would rule out frozen/partially seized brake Have someone gentlly apply the brakes and see if the 2 pistons (ft.'s) extend evenly. If not even or not at all for one(!!), I would get reman'd RockAuto calipers. Trying to rebuild them might work but the bores are usually pitted beyond help.
