svx axles and 5x100 sti hubs

SVX axles fit 5x114 hubs, NOT 5x100 hubs. The 5x114 hubs have larger bearings and the larger 190mm parking brake.

The STi 5x100 hubs, are still 5x100 hubs. They have the smaller bearing and the smaller 170mm parking brake.

WRX 5x100 axles do not fit SVX 5x114 hubs.

So what are you trying to do?

i'm selling my svx rear end since a 6spd i going in, someone wants it because they want to do the brembo 5x100 swap on their car and read that the svx rear end can be used.

Oh now I see where its going. Let me confirm a few things, my memory is a little foggy on what I had to do on my friends WRX.

Although an easy solution for him is to keep his rear knuckles and get the correct rotors for the brembos with the 170mm parking brake and the adapter brackets to bolt the calipers to his knuckle. I know fastwrx and a few places make full kits.

But I will recheck things and confirm fitment.

OK I rechecked things and the 04 STi hubs came 5x100 with the larger bearing and the 190mm parking brake. This WILL accept SVX rear axleshafts however it will also require the SVX r160 rear differential. The SVX axleshafts WILL NOT fit into the WRX r160 rear diff.

So if he swaps the 04 STi 5x100 rear knuckles with brembos onto his WRX he can swap in the SVX r160 diff with the SVX axleshafts. This will match his OEM WRX rear diff ratio of 3.54 also. He must keep the SVX axle shafts with the SVX diff though, because they will not fit into the WRX diff.
