Noisy pedal
Anyone every had a pedal (brake, clutch, gas) that made a clicking or popping noise? I think it is technically a creak which is just a series of pops/clicks. From what I can tell, there are four spots that can be making the noise. The spring, the bushing/bearings that are holding the ends of the spring, the hinge or pivot point, the mechanism where the cable/plunger/push rod is entering the firewall. Any suggestions on what lubricants to use? In the case of a a plunger/push rod entering a master cylinder, is it best to avoid greases that have any additives like teflon or molybdenum? I remember reading that somewhere but can't remember where. Here is what I am thinking:
1. Plunger/push rod - Polyurea thickened grease and preferrably one that uses an ester oil as its base. Honda makes a urea grease that people rave about. 2. Spring - Ester based bearing grease with molybdenum like Redline's bearing grease. 3. Pivot - Same as the spring. 4. Spring bearing/bushing - Bushing grease like the one sold by Energy Suspension. I don't know the composition but it is supposed to be good for metal to rubber/plastic contact where the metal is sliding inside the rubber/plastic. I think they are more tacky for such applications. Comments? Suggestions?

Re: Noisy pedal
I've heard a similar noise and have noticed quite a lot of firewall flex when pressing hard on the pedal, been looking at the grim speed master cylinder braces to see if any could be made to fit and hold it more securely.
Other possibility, for me anyway, is that one or both of my front axles are very unhappy with me XD.
