A/C Malfunction

I have a client who's SVX A/C is Malfunctioning. Smoke came pout of the air vents, smelt like burning doids, and now the control system has gone to max of 34. When you put it back to 21 degree's it automatically goes back up to 34. No one can help, or no one wants to help me with the problem. Can some one here helps. Thanks
