Eg33 swapped forester no start
Hi I have a 2001 forester with a 95 eg33 obd1 engine. I bought the car with the swap and it used to start fine but had issues starting in the cold. 1 day it cranked and never started. I replaced the coolant temp sensor and that seemed to fix my issues. Car would start right up even in cold weather. I drove it every day for weeks after that with no issues, lots of snow drifting(live in MN) but I went to start it the other day and it cranked fired and died. Tried again same thing. Tried a last time and it started up, drove it to work with no issues. When I went to leave it cranked forever and never fired. I towed it home and wired up a test light only to have no codes light up. Which is weird cause I have egr delete and figured something would happen but no light. Grounds are all good. Ecu is getting power. Power at the ignitor. I'm getting fuel, no spark though. I checked my front can angle sensor got 2.4 ohms which is normal, checked continuity on wiring and it's all good. Swapped with another cas that reads 2.4 ohms and no different. I have a stock ecu and chipped. Same story with both ecus. Crank position sensors are reading slightly lower 2.38 and 2.30 is this enough to cause a no start? It cranks all day with no spark. Really need to get this running. Believe it or not this is my daily driver.
So recap. -no spark on plugs - I am getting fuel( smell it on plugs and can here it) -cam angle wiring good -ecu not pulling codes -crank angle sensors read 2.38 and 2.30 instead of 2.4 -ran fine before this -grounds are good -ecu has voltage |

Re: Eg33 swapped forester no start
Try a different igniter ?
Unplug the MAF and try that too...
