wiring harness and install kits
OK I know its been said before that none makes a wiring harness but this site seems to beleive that they do. Any one have an idea, ever worked with these people before.
I'm tempted just for the price to buy them and see if they are legit, take one for the team so to speak http://www.installer.com/cars/subaru.html |

That would be nice if they work. I would like to see their part numbers for the SVX and the Legacy. Hopefully there different.

When you click on the thumbnail to see the larger picture, that "WH-66" harness at Installer.com looks suspisiously like the Metra 70-8901 -- looks to me like exactly the same picture, just resized a bit.
In fact, if you look at this page and scroll down to Subaru, you'll see that the "WH-66" is a 70-8901. The 70-8901 harness has only 14 pin positions (and only 13 wires populated) and fits several other models/years of Subarus. It does not fit the SVX. The connector in the SVX has 20 pin positions. I'm the person who's been custom-making harnesses that do fit the SVX. Please see my post in the Wanted/For Sale forum. Believe me, if any of the harness manufacturers made one that fits the SVX, I'd just point people to it rather than going through the effort to make them myself. Companies like Installer.com (and JC Whitney, Best Buy, Crutchfield, etc.) buy from these manufacturers, sometimes slapping on their own catalog number. In the process, they sometimes erroneously list the SVX as one of the models that it fits.
