Worldwide Subaru SVX Registry?
I found this while cruising the Yahoo SVX site: Does anyone know this guy?
Subject: Worldwide Subaru SVX Registry Good morning everyone, A Healthy and Happy New Year to everyone. As promised yesterday, here is the information. It is not internet-related in any way, shape or form. The Worldwide Subaru SVX Registry will be devoted to the owners of our beloved Subaru SVX and friends that enjoy hospitality and travel. This is primarily for individuals and families that enjoy travel and would rather stay with friends than spend foolish money in hotels motels, and resorts. Unless you indicate that you are a smoker, it is to be assumed that individuals staying with others will have the pleasure of a smoke-free environment. If you are interested in joining the Worldwide Subaru SVX Registry, a roster of names and addresses listed alphabetically under States and Countries will be mailed to you by first class U.S Mail. Because this is not an internet group, I will NOT be answering questions pertaining to the Worldwide Subaru SVX Registry on this site. Overseas persons interested in joining the the Worldwide Subaru SVX Registry with questions may call me on my residence phone. Please send your name, street address, and telephone numbers to the address that appears under my signature. The deadline (firm) for submitting your information to me will be January 15, 2008 and the Worldwide Subaru SVX Registry (roster) will be mailed to you on February 1, 2008. Besides the first edition of the Worldwide Subaru SVX Registry to be mailed February 1, 2008, you will receive an update of new members every six months by first class U.S. Mail. The annual charge for members with a: U.S. Mail address is $3.00 (USD) Canadian and overseas members is $6.00 (USD) If overseas members have questions on how to submit a check to me, please consult your local bank. I am a member of many car clubs with both national and international members. The Worldwide Subaru SVX Registry will be devoted to persons that enjoy entertaining and meeting others with a similiar thread, in this case our Italian-designed Subaru SVX. My wife and I travel nationally and internationally and rarely stay at hotels, motels, or resorts. Simply said, we entertain and are entertained royally, and that does not mean one has to have an estate or mansion. Please do not submit your information or a check to me unless you are able and willing to reciprocate hospitality, meaning you enjoy hosting and meeting new friends. This is not a house exchange, rather SVX owners and friends of SVX owners getting together. Once again, inquiries and questions by telephone only. Here is to a successful launch of the Worldwide Subaru SVX Registry. Please remit your checks to the address which follows my signature, along with your 1. Complete name(s) 2. Complete mailing address (no P.O Box Numbers) 3. Telephone Numbers Checks should be made payable to: Howard G. Singer Please include in the memo area of your check: "Worldwide Subaru SVX Registry" All the very best, Howard Howard G. The name sounds familiar, and I think he is a member here as well. I could be wrong though.

Howard is a member of the Yahoo Groups SVX site. He recently bought his first SVX and is considering a second. His interest in an owner's registry is aimed more toward the traveler, matching SVX owners with others who may be traveling and looking to meet new people, and perhaps to even set up a system of "return visits" stay-overs. He likes to travel and meet new people and is looking to bring SVX owners together in like manner. It is a good idea worthy of your consideration. I do not, however, see Howard's group as the answer to a need for a true SVX Owner's Registry, one that would assemble and keep data on all SVX cars, their location, condition and owners. Such a registry would be the depository of data on these cars, useful for restoration and documentation should the car ever become a valuable collectible.
