Climate Control Unit troubleshooting
hey all,
so i did the step 1 diagnostic on my HVAC unit... codes 13 and 33 sunlight sensor circuit and air mix door motor circuit. pita. im electrically challenged.... so what are my best options here? should i just replace the two offenders and the auto amplifier? the heater is stuck on and its less than pleasant :/ any advice?

The sunlight sensor circuit will always be thrown if your car is in a shaded area when the codes are read. Move your car into direct sunlight, and rescan the codes. I'd bet you just end up with that mix door code. If that's the case, it seems like it'll be time to replace the mix door motor.
The mix door motor is what controls what temperature of air comes out of the vents by "mixing" hot and cold air. So, this definitely would cause your problem of only having heat.

ok sweet that makes sense about the sunlight sensor.
mix door motor. woohoo. does anyone out there have one laying around? i suppose its off to the wrecker for me if not thanks for the help!
