(PDX) 1992 Subaru SVX 5mt swap
SOLD
Location of the SVX: Portland, OR. Year: 1992 Model: LS? VIN: (dont have it in front of me) Manufacture date: X/91 Paint Color: dark green Interior Color: dark grey leather w/alcantara and fake wood trim Miles: 180k AWD or FWD: AWD Modifications: 5mt swap, custom catback Major service: Engine Condition: great! good power, runs smooth Maintenance Records: a few, none really though. Transmission condition: great, new Redline fluid (it is an 01 Forester 5spd) Glass condition: all good, windows all work, windshield has a crack on pass. side Type of tire and remaining tread: ok tread, around 30% Type of wheels: 17" multispoke ASA wheels Interior condition: ok. front seat leather has a split. driver door alcantara is dirty Body condition: ok, has a scrape on rear quarter. hood sprayed black Known defects or problems: besides above, only that the neutral and reverse switch for the transmission arent wired in. Comments about the car: runs and drives good Asking price: $3500 Here's my notes: clean oregon title, new tags, 180k miles, runs great, no leaks. AC and digital/auto climate control all working. original radio w/CD working, power antenna works. all windows work. sun roof works. Custom 5-speed conversion done at Carr Subaru by the previous owner a few years ago. A lot of things were done wrong, I bought it 1.5 years ago and fixed just about everything. Now the car has a WRX clutch, it runs great, has lots of power, and has no check engine lights Current setup: - custom transmission crossmember - '01 Forester 5-speed transmission (4.11 ratio) w/matching rear diff - custom shift linkage - short ram intake - custom dual-tip exhaust - hood is sprayed black - new 06 WRX clutch and flywheel - new Redline transmission fluid - new TIC rear diff bushings - various new vacuum lines since many were old and cracked - 17" ASA wheels w/ ok tires (see third pic) Problems: - neutral and reverse switch aren't wired in. So, it will start without the clutch being in, and the reverse lights dont work. also cruise doesnt work (car thinks its in neutral) - windshield is cracked on passenger side - exhaust isnt quite lined up at the cat-back flange, so it leaks (probably makes it sound better actually). adjust the hangers on the exhaust and its fixed. - hood struts won't quite hold the hood up - one spot of minor damage on rear quarter where it was scraped. Its a fast car and lots of fun. the car is 20 years old, so it has some quirks, but overall its good. Last edited by elislider; 05-15-2012 at 11:29 PM. |
