Don't confuse driving your svx with any other car you drive
Working this weekend....driving around in my Ford Crown Vic Police Intercepter....things are good.
Tonight, I went to back someone up....was getting it down the road, about 110 mph. Lights. Siren all going. Nice twisty road....been raining......... Roll into a 90 degree curve, slow down, but pretty much hammer down... Start to get a little rear wheel drift, which is normal in my car with used tires. I think to myself, "everything's cool". Next thing I know, the drift is more than I wanted. I went into a 720 in the curve, missing both the mailboxes and telephone pole. Definetly an "E ticket ride". Got so use to how the svx handles in the corners, my brain didn't switch gears tonight. LEOinFL |

So you are saying an X will out handle a Vic Interceptor?

i had to change my driving style a lot after selling the 928 and getting the SVX - the SVX handling and braking felt like i was in a box truck in comparison.

...or, as a contrast to the 928 story, try driving a 1974 (rusty) Mercedes Diesel 240 for a while, then getting back in the SVX...
Makes you forget about any 'stage x' stuff real quick - the SVX is a SPEED DEMON! |

1994-1996 Caprices were IMO the best cop cars around.
Many LEO's in the area have backed me up... 1: They don't burst into flames when rear ended 2: 260 HP from the factory....capable of 154 mph if not equipped with a lightbar or spotlights (those create aerodynamic drag which slows it down a bit) 3: Ride is less floaty, more firm, handles better 4: Brakes are better The only complaint is that the Vic is a bit more comfortable. Of course I like the 94-96 Caprices due to low initial cost, and easy upgrade path! |

Wouldn't this be considered a street racing thread?
